We are so excited & proud to announce our partnership with The Harding Miller Education Foundation, a charity that supports high potential but socio-economically disadvantaged girls across Australia. We held our first fundraising event, The CA x WORLD CUP GAMES to raise money for HMEF.
THE HARDING MILLER EDUCATION FOUNDATION
The Harding Miller Education Foundation is an Australian charity that supports high potential but socio-economically disadvantaged girls across Australia through a $20,000 scholarship over four years of high school.
The HMEF program gives these girls the tools and resources they need to not only complete high school but to reach their potential and build direct pathways to tertiary education. Since 2016, the Foundation has awarded over 800 scholarships to girls from more than 350 schools in every state and territory of Australia.
It was established in 2015 by long-term champions of girls and public education, and local residents – Kim Harding and Irene Miller. Most Harding Miller scholars are significantly disadvantaged, with families who struggle to put food on the table let alone purchase a new computer for a child’s education. The scholarship gives the girls their own devices and educational tools and resources, so these bright, hard-working young women are allowed a level playing field with peers who are more socio-economically advantaged.
The HMEF program is a multi-layered support framework of academic and technology resources, personal coaching and enrichment, designed to inspire and empower a fresh generation of proud Australian women. HMEF scholars are the future leaders, influencers and innovators of Australia.
THE CA x WORLD CUP GAMES
We held our first fundraising event, The CA x WORLD CUP GAMES to raise money for The Harding Miller Education Foundation.
The CA x WORLD CUP GAMES is where CA x Concord, CA x Rozelle & CA x Paddington battled it out on the Field of Green. Each club brought six teams of four ALL-STARS to tackle The CA x WORLD CUP GAMES, 3500m above sea level. The energy, the effort & the smiles ALL-STARS brought were next level! It was a day like no other.
Thank you to everyone who participated and donated, we raised $640 for our partners at The Harding Miller Education Foundation. Stay tuned for more fundraising events for this amazing foundation in the new year.
